THE RETREAT

Come experience the beauty and energy of Steamboat Springs and the Yampa Valley during one of my favorite times of year—the Fall. The Wild Within is a six-day, five-night retreat created to help you slow down, reconnect with yourself, and deepen your connection with nature, animals, and the land around you.

We’ll spend our days with horses, hiking and exploring some of the most beautiful places in the Yampa Valley, soaking in the infamous Strawberry Park Hot Springs, learning the Heartline Method to connect with nature and animals, enjoying chef-prepared meals, sound healing, meditation, and plenty of time to simply breathe and take it all in. With the Fall Equinox as our backdrop, this retreat is about connection, balance, fun, and experiencing what can happen when we give ourselves the time and space to listen with your heart.

ITINERARY

September 22 - 27, 2027

Day 1 - September 22

Highlights

Arrive at beautiful Humble Ranch, settle into your accommodations, and take in the breathtaking scenery of the Yampa Valley. We'll kick off our time together with a welcome dinner in downtown Steamboat Springs, followed by a cacao ceremony, intention setting, and an opportunity to connect with one another as we begin our journey together.

Day 2 - September 23

Highlights

Today is all about connection! We'll explore my Heartline Method, learning how to communicate and connect with animals, nature, and the land. Put your new skills into practice during a fun, interactive scavenger hunt around the ranch, followed by an afternoon of meaningful connection with the horses. We'll end this special Fall Equinox day soaking under the stars at the famous Strawberry Park Hot Springs!

Day 3 - September 24

Highlights

We'll begin our day exploring the spectacular Fish Creek Falls, connecting with the powerful energy of flowing water and the surrounding forest. Next, we'll ride the gondola up Mount Warner to take in incredible views of the Yampa Valley, followed by lunch at the base of the mountain and some much-deserved free time. Our evening concludes with a relaxing sound healing experience back at the ranch.

Day 4 - September 25

Highlights

We'll return to the horses for another opportunity to deepen our connection and experience the wisdom these beautiful animals have to share. In the afternoon, we'll venture into the mountains to explore the peaceful beauty of Dumont Lake, surrounded by Colorado's stunning fall scenery. We'll finish the day enjoying dinner together at a local Steamboat restaurant.

Day 5 - September 26

Highlights

Today we'll explore even more of the Yampa Valley's natural wonders! Our adventure takes us to historic Hahn's Peak and beautiful Pearl Lake, where we'll hike, connect with the land, and take time to reflect on our experiences throughout the retreat. With a chef-prepared picnic lunch surrounded by nature, it's a wonderful opportunity to slow down and soak in the beauty of Colorado before gathering for our final dinner together.

Day 6 - September 27

Highlights

Enjoy a peaceful morning at the ranch with breakfast, time to reflect, and a chance to say goodbye to new friends. As we depart, my hope is that you leave feeling more connected to yourself, the animals, and the natural world, carrying a little piece of the Yampa Valley and The Wild Within home with you.

Nestled in the heart of Steamboat Springs' beautiful Yampa Valley, Humble Ranch is a peaceful retreat surrounded by wide-open spaces, breathtaking mountain views, horses, and the flowing Yampa River. With roots dating back to the late 1800s, this historic property has a rich history of land conservation and connecting people with nature and horses. It's a special place where you can slow down, breathe deeply, and truly experience the beauty and energy of the land.

Our home for the retreat includes a beautifully restored historic ranch house and a cozy cabin, offering comfortable accommodations with rustic Colorado charm. With inviting gathering spaces, fireplaces, beautiful views, and access to the river, Humble Ranch provides the perfect setting to relax, connect with one another, and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the Yampa Valley.

Enjoy delicious, thoughtfully prepared lunches and dinners by a private chef, featuring locally sourced and organic ingredients whenever possible. Meals will be shared around the large family-style dining table at Humble Ranch, creating a warm, intimate setting to connect, share stories, and enjoy one another's company.

Breakfasts will be self-serve, with a variety of options available based on guests' preferences collected before the retreat. Coffee, tea, and water will be available throughout the day. Dietary needs and preferences can be accommodated with advance notice. Please note that select lunches and dinners at local restaurants are not included in the retreat price.
